Over 250 pupils from St Joseph’s Junior School paid tribute to their caretaker and O’s fan Kevin Bennett after he recently passed away.
Bennett, who had been following the club’s fortunes both home and away for over 20 years, sadly passed away after suffering a heart attack last month.
The youngsters paid their respects to their caretaker by taking part in a march around the O’s pitch, before laying wreaths on the centre circle and taking part in both a minute’s silence and a round of applause.
All the children in attendance also donated £1 which will go towards to British Heart Foundation.
St Joseph’s Headteacher Mr Alexander said: “We are thankful to Leyton Orient for facilitating this tribute to Kevin who was a wonderful man. This is what makes this club so special.”
