Orient have completed the loan signing of Millwall striker John Marquis on a 93-day loan deal.
The striker has seen game time limited at the Den with just two starts this season, and has linked up with the O’s in time to be included in Saturday’s squad for the trip to Crawley Town.
“It’s no secret that we have wanted to add a striker to the squad following the loss of Paul McCallum to injury and John fits the bill superbly,” Head Coach Ian Hendon said to leytonorient.com.
“He has played a number of games at this level and has worked with my assistant Andy Hessenthaler at Gillingham last season, so we know what he is capable of and he is a welcome addition to the squad.”
Marquis signed a new one-year deal with Millwall in the summer, having scored eight goals in 13 games while on loan with League One side Gillingham at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.
Having joined Millwall in 2009, the striker has had further loan spells with Northampton Town (twice), Cheltenham Town, Torquay United and Portsmouth.
Millwall have a 28-day recall option in the loan deal, and Marquis will wear the number 32 shirt during his stay in E10.
