Orient midfielder Bradley Pritchard hopes the O’s can build on last weekend’s FA Cup victory with three points on Sunday against Hartlepool United.
The O’s saw off Staines Town 6-1 last weeekend, and while Pritchard missed the game through suspension, he believed it was important for some of his team-mates to build up the confidence once again ahead of Sunday’s televised encounter at Victoria Park.
“The Cup game win was good for the confidence of the boys,” he told leytonorient.com.
“The likes of Ollie Palmer were in the goals and it was good for him to get on the scoresheet. The result is something we can build on, irrespective of who we played. We still had to be professional and do things the right way.
And while the kick-off and date of the fixture is different to the usual Saturday 3pm slot the players have come accustomed to, the 29-year-old admits it’s about keeping things as normal as possible in the build up.
“We still have to prepare the right way and in that respect we have to carry on as normal, the only difference is the time and date. Hopefully we can build on last weekend’s win and pick up the three points at Hartlepool.”
