O’s striker Jay Simpson has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for November.
The 27-year-old netted four of the six Orient league goals in the month to take his tally for the season to 15, which leaves him as the current top goalscorer in the top four divisions of English football.
Simpson netted twice in the 3-2 home win over York City, before following it up with a fine strike in the 1-1 draw at Plymouth Argyle and then rounding the month off with a further strike against AFC Wimbledon.
The striker is up against Carlisle United full back Danny Grainger, Johnny Mullins of Oxford United and Stevenage’s Chris Whelpdale – who also scored four times in the month.
The winner will be announced on Friday, December 11 with the judging panel consisting of Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
