Orient midfielder Lloyd James was pleased to extend their unbeaten run to five games with a point at Mansfield Town yesterday.
The game had been in doubt, with referee Darren England calling a 1.30pm pitch inspection at the One Call Stadium, though the match was given the go ahead.
Heavy wind and rain made for a difficult encounter, and although Orient conceded late in the first half, after Jay Simpson had given the O’s the lead, James was delighted with their battling performance in tough conditions.
Orient’s focus now switches to the FA Cup Second Round replay at Scunthorpe United, where the winners will come up against reigning Premier League champions Chelsea, and the Welshman knows there is plenty of hard work ahead before they can think of the potential tie at Stamford Bridge.
