Nicky Hunt admitted it was an opportunity he couldn’t turn down as he made the switch to E10 from Mansfield Town.
The 32-year-old defender signed for an undisclosed fee yesterday, and is eager to help the O’s move back into the Play-Off places.
The move also sees the England U21 international re-united with O’s player-manager Kevin Nolan, with the pair having spent nine years together at Bolton Wanderers, and Hunt is looking forward to working with his former team-mate.
Hunt played 65 minutes in the O’s 4-1 Development League win over Southend earlier today and now the defender is keen to make a big impact over the remainder of the season.
