Leyton Orient player-manager Kevin Nolan felt his side bounced back brilliantly from last weekend’s defeat to win at Portsmouth.
The 33-year-old, who made his first start for the Club in the 1-0 win, was also full of praise for debutants Nicky Hunt and Shaun Brisley as the O’s recorded a third victory and clean sheet since his apppointment.
Jobi McAnuff’s wonderful strike in the second half proved the difference but Nolan admitted on another day it could have been more, with the O’s boss hitting the crossbar, Jay Simpson being denied on several occasions and substitute Armand Gnanduillet seeing a shot crash back off the post.
The victory moves Orient back into the Play-Off places and up to sixth in League Two, though Nolan was keen to stress the team must remain grounded with 16 matches left to play.
