Combining football with cycling, the Leyton Orient Trust have developed a fun five week long programme to improve cycling confidence and increase active travel opportunities.
During the year, we will be running a number of official matchday rides in partnership with Mini Holland, Waltham Forest Council and the Waltham Forest Cycling Campaign. Each ride will start from Chingford and will lead down the borough to arrive at the stadium on a matchday. We’ll be providing those who participate in the ride with a free match ticket to the game too! (up to 50 free tickets available per ride), the first of which is on February 27 ahead of our home match against Crawley Town.
The route we will be taking can be found by clicking here
There’s no need to sign up, simply turn up on the day at one of the following meeting points and you’ll be able to join on the way!
Meeting point one: Chingford Green, outside the Library and Assembly Hall
Meeting point two: Walthamstow Library
Secure cycle parking and racks will then be available around the stadium on arrival. There will also be a Dr Bike workshop at each event so that riders can receive a free bike check up.
If you have an Orient shirt, be sure to wear it for the rides too! #CyclingismyGoal
