Kevin Nolan’s side have picked up back-to-back wins against Notts County and Crawley Town ahead of the trip to Brunton Park this evening as they moved back into the Play-Off places as a result of the win on Saturday.
However, the 29-year-old knows the importance on building on the recent positive results.
“I think it is good to be playing Tuesday-Saturday; you get a good run of games and you can get a lot of points on the board and start creeping up the table,” Clohessy told Orient PlayerHD.
“We need to prepare right and be ready. It is a long journey and a big pitch but we will be ready for that
“We know this is a crucial period for us. There is always a team that comes in late to the Play-Offs by going on a run. Hopefully that can be us.”
Carlisle sit in 11th place in the table ahead of tonight’s fixture, but are only three points off the O’s who occupy the final Play-Off spot and Clohessy realises the significance of fixtures such as this.
“The last two games have been massive for us because we have got some big games coming up against teams around us so it was important to get the last two wins,” he added.
“Now we are going into a crucial run of games against teams we need to take points off. Once you start beating those teams around you, you start making a difference and begin to cement your place in the Play-Offs.
“You get on a run and you start getting the rub of the green, a bit of luck and hopefully we will get that now.”
