Leyton Orient defender Shaun Brisley is recovering well after picking up a head injury during today’s 1-0 home loss to Luton Town.
The 25-year-old went up for an aerial challenge with Hatters goalkeeper Jon Mitchell, but after taking a blow to the head, was left unconscious for a number of seconds.
The defender was treated by Club Physio Peter Webb and regained consciousness before being taken to Royal London Hospital where a member of Club staff remained with Shaun. He will continue to be monitored at hospital before any potential release.
The incident left the Peterborough loanee with a cut above his right eye which has required a number of stitches and any further developments will be announced in due course.
Everyone at the Club would like to wish Shaun a speedy recovery.
