Leyton Orient can confirm the loan signing of David Gregory from Premier League outfit Crystal Palace, as a result of a recent injury to the O’s goalkeeper Charlie Grainger.
The 21-year-old has joined Orient on an initial 28-day loan. Gregory spent the back end of the 2013-14 season out on loan at Sutton United and Bishop’s Stortford, where he impressed.
The young Palace keeper has been on their books since the age of nine, coming up through their academy. He impressed at every age bracket, notably at under-18s level and at the said loan spells, after which he signed a two-year deal for the Premier League side. He had begun to break into the Eagles under-21s side last season making seven apperances.
The goalkeeper is being brought in to fill in for the injured Charlie Grainger, who broke his scaphoid in his left hand during training, and will wear the number 35 shirt during his stay in E10.
