REACTION: Nolan - 'It simply wasn't good enough'

access_time 5 years ago

Orient player-manager Kevin Nolan believed his side put in a below-par performance at Barnet this afternoon.

John Akinde put the Bees in front in the first half, before Lloyd James missed an early second half penalty to level matters.

To compound their misery Sam Togwell’s deflected effort doubled the hosts cushion and then Akinde scored his second to seal defeat for the O’s.

Nolan was disappointed in the manner of all three goals conceded, while also believing the penalty misses are coming at crucial times in recent encounters.

The 33-year-old is now calling for the O’s to get back to basics in training this week as they prepare for the visit of Dagenham & Redbridge next Saturday. For the full interview, sign up to Orient PlayerHD.
