Orient ended their Development League campaign with a 3-1 home win over Gillingham.
The side was made up of the O’s Merit League winning U18s and they got off to a great start when skipper Michael Clark headed them into an early lead.
That was soon cancelled out though when Mitchell Dickenson headed home at the far post following a set piece, but the hosts were back in front five minutes before the break when Josh Koroma’s shot was parried into the path of Tristan Abrahams who swept home from close range.
Orient remained in front at the break and went on to extend their advantage over the Gills when Sam Alderson’s free-kick was nodded goalwards by Clark, before Rian McLean added the final touch.
Despite having several other opportunities to add a fourth the O’s were unable to increased their lead as they signed off with a fifth win of the season in the competition.
