PREVIEW: Wealdstone (A)

access_time 5 years ago
The O’s begin their UK pre-season campaign when they head to National League South side Wealdstone this evening (7.45pm).
Orient returned from a week-long training camp in Italy on Sunday, and opened their pre-season fixtures with a 1-0 defeat to Italy U19s in Coverciano on Wednesday.
Despite the defeat in the searing Italian heat, O’s boss Andy Hessenthaler was pleased with the first workout of his side, and will look to get more minutes under the belt for his players, with a number of the squad likely to feature over the course of the match.
The trip to Grosvenor Vale marks the first occasion to see all eight of the O’s summer signings in action and for Gavin Massey it is a return to a side he spent a spell on loan at in 2011.
There could also be a couple of familiar faces in the Stones line-up, with player-assistant manager Scott McGleish and David Hunt.
McGleish spent three spells with the O’s, racking up over 150 appearances while Hunt spent two seasons with the club between 2003 and 2005.
For any O’s fans attending the game tonight, use the postcode HA4 6JQ. Admission at Grosvenor Vale tonight is Adults £8, Concessions £4 (Over-65 and students with ID), Under-18s £1.
