Leyton Orient have been drawn in the same group as Brighton & Hove Albion, Southend United and Stevenage in the EFL Trophy.
The Group Stage draw, which was announced this morning (Wednesday), will see the O’s compete in the new-look tournament structure which includes a Category One club in each of the groups.
Andy Hessenthaler’s side play each club once, with the fixtures listed below:
w/c 29th August – Leyton Orient v Stevenage
w/c 3rd October – Southend United v Leyton Orient
w/c 7th November – Brighton & Hove Albion v Leyton Orient
In the group stage a win is three points, whilst one point for a draw. In the event of a draw after 90 minutes, a penalty shoot-out will be held with the winning team earning an additional point.
The top two teams in each group will then go through to the knock-out stage.
Confirmed dates for the fixtures will be announced in due course.
