Leyton Orient captain Robbie Weir admitted Dagenham & Redbridge provided the O’s with a different type of test.
Orient came out on top thanks to a late goal from striker Paul McCallum, and Weir was happy with a strong performance against the National League side.
Weir felt the Daggers made it tough for Orient, especially after falling behind, but was pleased with the response from the team.
The new skipper is also pleased with the O’s attacking threat ahead of the new season, and is looking for another solid outing to round off their pre-season campaign on Saturday against Gillingham.
