Orient manager Andy Hessenthaler was pleased with his side’s spirit as they fell just short in a 3-2 EFL Cup defeat against Fulham.
The O’s found themselves 3-0 down after Cauley Woodrow’s double and one for Dennis Adeniran, but substitutes Dean Cox and Paul McCallum helped turn things around, with the latter netting twice.
But despite the defeat Hessenthaler was proud of the O’s comeback, and now has even more selection dilemmas ahead of Saturday’s first home league game of the season against Newport County following the performances of Cox and McCallum.
