PREVIEW: Leyton Orient v Mansfield

access_time 5 years ago

Leyton Orient will be hoping to pick up their third win on a spin when they host Mansfield Town tomorrow afternoon at the Matchroom Stadium.

Orient go into the game on the back of a 2-1  away victory at Grimsby which came courtesy of goals from Liam Kelly and Ollie Palmer.

Last time out, Mansfield were on the wrong end of a 2-0 scoreline against Plymouth Argyle, with Graham Carey netting both goals for the Pilgrims in the space of five first half minutes

Despite that defeat, the Stags have an identical record to Orient’s from their opening four games – two wins, one draw and one defeat and they sit in seventh place in the League Two table

Striker Ollie Palmer scored when coming off the bench in the win at Grimsby Town and is pushing to regain his starting spot for tomorrow’s fixture against another former side.

Other than that, the O’s could select from a similar matchday squad which featured at Blundell Park, with manager Andy Hessenthaler having no other fresh injury concerns going into this weekend’s fixture.
