This Thursday (September 8) Leyton Orient WFC are having a fundraising evening at the Leyton Orient Supporters’ Club in conjunction with the launch of Carrie Dunn’s new book, “Roar of the Lionesses”.
As part of the book’s enthralling examination of women’s football, the author followed Orient WFC for the course of the 2015-16 season.
The book will be available for sale on the night with all profits going to Orient WFC and there’ll be a Question and Answer session with Carrie, the author as well as the team’s captain, Danni Griffiths and manager, Chris Brayford.
There’ll also be a raffle and auction with a fantastic range of Orient and football memorabilia as well as lots of other prizes plus you’ll be able to tuck into award-winning ice-cream from Il Gelato di Ariela (including a free scoop for raffle ticket purchasers!) and the Supporters’ Club’ bar will be open throughout for drinks, including its legendary range of real ales.
Entry is free and doors open at 6.45pm with the Question and Answer session starting at 7.30pm.
