New Leyton Orient signing Zan Benedicic cannot wait to get started with the O’s after joining the club earlier today.
“Joining Leyton Orient is a great opportunity for myself, and with the deal being only until January to start I am looking to be involved as soon as possible,” he told leytonorient.com
“I will do my best for the team and when January comes we will look at the contract situation and address it then.
“I am very happy for this chance to join Leyton Orient. I am keen to make the most of this opportunity, and I will do my very best to help the team during my time here.”
The 20-year-old took part in his first training session with the squad this morning, and was pleased to meet his new team-mates.
“I trained with the team for the first time today and it was very good,” he added.
“It was nice to be out there with the rest of the players and I enjoyed it, the training was very intense. This may be just the start but my first feelings about being at the club are very positive.”
The midfielder spent a brief spell in England on loan with Leeds United two years ago, but is now looking forward to his time in E10.
“Every player wants to come and play in England as it is the best place to be,” he said. “When I went to Leeds injury prevented me from playing as much as I hoped and it did not go entirely to plan, but it was still a good experience.”
“Naturally I am a centre midfielder, but what type of player I am here depends on what the manager wants from me and I can’t wait to show the fans what I am about on the pitch.”
