Leyton Orient are pleased to confirm the signing of former Holland under-21 international Jens Janse, subject to international clearance.
The 30-year-old defender has joined the O’s on a free transfer in a deal until the end of the season, and makes the switch having last played with Serie B side Ternana Calcio.
Janse is a right-back by trade, but can play anywhere across the back four and on the right of midfield.
The defender began his career in the youth set-ups at VVV Venlo and PSV Eindhoven, while he has also been capped 21 times by the Dutch under-21 side. In a five-year spell with Eredivise side Willem II, Janse made 103 league appearances before moving on to NAC Breda.
He also lists Spain, Georgia and Italy as countries to have played in, having enjoyed spells with Cordoba, Dinamo Tbilisi and Ternana respectively.
