Orient defender Yvan Erichot is eager for the O’s to bounce back straight away with a positive result at Notts County tomorrow.
The O’s suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Yeovil Town last weekend, and the Belgian believes it is imperative to put that result and performance to the back of their mind and produce a response at Meadow Lane.
“It was difficult and tough game for us against Yeovil,” he told leytonorient.com.
“After conceding disappointingly we tried to go again and force an equaliser but unfortunately we were not able to pull it back, but now we must refocus for tomorrow’s game at Notts County.
“It’s been really frustrating so far at home, but we have to keep our heads up and go again. You have ups and downs over the course of the season and though we have started ok, we have to forget about the Yeovil performance and get a result at Notts County.
“We have to keep ourselves in and around the play-off places even though it is early on in the season. It’s a massive game for us and it is important we bounce back.”
Erichot has featured in every league game so far this season for the O’s having joined the club in the summer, and while pleased with that, he knows there is plenty more of improvement to come as he adjusts to life in England.
“I am feeling ok and it has been a little difficult with the language barrier, but I am currently taking lessons now and that will come with time. It is a great club and having played in every league game so far hopefully I can continue to improve the more I play,” he added.
“The massive difference between this league and any other I have played in has been the physical aspect of the game. League Two is more physical and you have to remain focused all the time because there are always battles out on the pitch.
“It has been good to have someone like Nigel here, and Armand before he left. It would have been extremely difficult otherwise and Nigel has helped with a lot of things so I thank him for that.”
