The young O’s winning streak continued as Richard Thomas’ side saw off East London neighbours Dagenham & Redbridge in a 2-1 win thanks to goal from Sam Dalby and Teddy Perkins.

Thomas made one change to the starting line up as top goalscorer Tristan Abrahams was back from suspension and in the starting line-up, replacing Josh Koroma.

The young O’s made an impact early on, with eight minutes on the clock when Dalby opened the scoring.

A goal kick from Arthur Janata found Dalby in the opposition half and he controlled the ball brilliantly to turn the as he then found himself through on goal before calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper Lou Chapman

Steven Alzate almost made it 2-0 to the O’s when his diving header from close range seemed destined to end up in the back of the net, only for a brilliant save from goalkeeper Chapman to get down low and deny the O’s.

At the interval the O’s were forced into a substitution with Abrahams unable to continue having picked up a shoulder injury in the first half

The second half started in the same fashion as the first with the O’s doubling their lead. Substitute Ruel Sotiriou, who replaced Abrahams, won a free kick 25 yards out.

Centre back Teddy Perkins stepped up to take the free kick and his low shot got the better of both  the wall and the Daggers goalkeeper on its way into the bottom corner of the net.

The visitors pulled a goal back with 20 minutes to go though as Dylan Florence tried his luck from 30 yards out and his shot beat Janata, who couldn’t get down quick enough to deny the goal.

It was a scrappy finish to the game with a strong battle in midfield, though neither side looked like adding to their tally as the O’s picked up their 11th consecutive win of the season

The O’s aim to continue their unbeaten record as they host second-placed Luton Town who are second to the O’s in the league on October 29, 10.30am kick-off.
