The club are pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Michael Collins on a short-term deal, subject to international clearance and Football League approval.
The 30-year-old, who most recently enjoyed a spell with I-League champions Bengaluru out in India, has agreed an initial three-month deal which will run until January 2017.
Collins, who started out at Huddersfield Town and went on to make almost 200 appearances for the Terriers, bolsters the midfield following the loss of vice-captain Liam Kelly due to injury.
Capped by the Republic of Ireland at several youth levels, Collins also lists Scunthorpe United (of whom he captained), AFC Wimbledon, Oxford United and York City as other clubs to have represented in the Football League.
Collins will wear the number 7 shirt during his stay in E10, and his first interview an Orient player will be available this evening.
