Alan Dunne believed the O’s showed character despite falling to a 1-0 Checkatrade Trophy loss at Brighton & Hove Albion under-21s.
The 34-year-old was part of the side that lost out in the FA Cup First Round at Sheffield United, and was pleased with the fight, hunger and determination on show from Orient last night.
Dunne was also encouraged by the performances of the youngsters on show at the Amex Stadium, and believes the club has a wealth of talent coming through the ranks.
The defender expressed his pleasure to be back involved with the first team and is keen to help lift the O’s up the table, starting with a positive result at Colchester United on Saturday.
