Defender Nicky Hunt admitted it was a fine afternoon’s work for the O’s after coming away with a 3-0 win at Colchester United on Saturday.
The 33-year-old bagged his first goal for the club at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, with his strike sandwiched in between Jay Simpson’s first two goals of the season as Orient picked up a second win under Alberto Cavasin.
Hunt was delighted with the response from the side having spent many hours on the training ground in a bid to make amends for the Cup and Trophy defeats to Sheffield United and Brighton respectively.
The former Bolton man netted only his third goal in his 15-year professional career to date to double the O’s lead, and was pleased to get on the scoresheet, though revealed he took more pride from the O’s registering a third clean sheet of the season.
