PREVIEW: Leyton Orient v Blackpool

access_time 5 years ago

The O’s are hoping to record their second home win tomorrow when hosting Blackpool at the Matchroom Stadium.

Orient bounce back from back-to-back cup defeats with a 3-0 success over Colchester United last weekend, thanks to two goals from Jay Simpson and one for Nicky Hunt

Alberto Cavasin will be hoping to pick up his first home win since taking charge and face a Blackpool side who currently lie in ninth place in the table – three points better off than Orient who sit in 19th.

Gary Bowyer’s side head to E10 on the back of a 4-0 win thanks to Kyle Vassell’s double, and one apiece for Jamille Matt and Colin Daniel.

Blackpool have won just once on the road so far this season in the league – a 3-0 success at Yeovil Town in September. Three draws have come at Crewe, Cheltenham Town and Barnet.

O’s boss Alberto Cavasin has a trio of absentees going into tomorrow’s game with Blackpool.

Jens Janse is ruled out with a shoulder injury picked up in the 1-0 Checkatrade Trophy defeat at Brighton, while Ulrich Nnomo and Harry Cornick remain absent with ankle and groin injuries respectively.

Liam Kelly remains a long-term absentee as he continues his recovery from a torn hamstring.

BETTING (correct at the time of writing)

The O’s have won just twice in all competitions in their last 13 games and both those came away from home.

Orient are 19/10 with Sky Bet for some joy on their own patch with three points when they play host to Blackpool.

The Seasiders are 7/5 and a draw is 12/5 as they attempt to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to six matches.

Orient do go into the game on the back of a 3-0 success at struggling Colchester when Jay Simpson netted twice – he is 5/1 to open the scoring and 7/4 to find the target at some stage.
