Manager Andy Edwards remained upbeat despite suffering a 3-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers in his first game as O’s boss.
Callum Kennedy had given Orient the lead on the 20th minute with a suberb free-kick, but with half time looming Jordan Houghton levelled the tie in first half stoppage time for Rovers before Liam Mandeville converted two penalties after the break.
The 45-year-old was appointed on Wednesday following the departure of Alberto Cavasin, and though Orient came away from the Keepmoat Stadium with a loss, Edwards felt the players attitude and application was spot on.
With the O’s now having a two week gap until their next fixture against Accrington Stanley on December 10, Edwards is looking forward to a solid fortnight on the training ground to implement his ideas.
