The young O’s completed the Youth Alliance League season with a 6-2 victory over East London rivals Dagenham & Redbridge.

An early goal from captain Charley Baker, four second half goals from Josh Koroma and a late strike from Andrew Camillo-Tayaca sealed the impressive win.

The opening goal came within the first 10 minutes, after Charley Barker converted the cut back from Steven Alzate.

After the break the O’s didn’t take long before doubling their lead through Josh Koroma after some great team build up play by the O’s. Pat Adamson’s ball into the box was flicked on by Ruel Sotiriou and found Koroma who took a touch and placed the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

Koroma then doubled his own tally minutes later. Neat play between Alzate and Koroma saw both players in the box, with Alzate unselfishly pulling out the defenders allowing Koroma a tap in.

The young O’s took their foot of the pedal somewhat and allowed the Daggers back into the game, as they scored two goals in quick succession with Jordy Mongoy providing the assists and James Turvey with both of the goals

With less than three minutes of the match remaining Koroma sealed his hat-trick and gave the O’s a two-goal cushion. As the Daggers keeper came out of the box to clear the ball his header only reached Koroma and from 35 yards out he slotted the ball into the open net.

There was a heavy period of extra time as Mongoy went down earlier in the half and the remaining minutes gave the O’s another opportunity to increase the lead. Henry Ochieng broke into the box and was brought down as the referee pointed to the spot. Koroma stepped up the take the penalty and calmly chipped it into the back of the net.

The final goal of the afternoon came from Andrew Camillo-Tayaca as the O’s kept possession inside the opposition box before the substitute was able to slot home

A great result for the O’s who put themselves back to winning ways before their Youth Alliance Cup Area Semi-Final tie with AFC Bournemouth this weekend at Whitbreads Sports Ground, kick-off 12pm.
