Josh Koroma’s hat-trick for the O’s in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Newport County has seen the forward enter the O’s record books.
At the age of 18 years, three months and 24 days, Koroma now has the accolade of the O’s youngest ever hat-trick hero following his treble in South Wales on Saturday
In the process, he also became the 78th Football League hat-trick for the O’s and is the 61st different Orient player to achieve the feat.
Although striker Shaun Batt netted a hat-trick for Orient in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy back on September 3, 2013 against Gillingham, Koroma’s hat-trick is the first to achieve the feat in the league since Ryan Jarvis netted three goals in the 5-2 away win at Millwall on February 20, 2007.
Koroma’s hat-trick is also the 16th Orient treble scored away from home in the Football League.
