REACTION: Webb - 'The scoreline was harsh'

access_time 5 years ago

Orient manager Danny Webb felt the 3-0 scoreline in the defeat to Grimsby Town was harsh on the O’s.

Sam Jones’ first half header put the Mariners in the box seat before a Callum Kennedy own goal and a late Scott Vernon effort sealed the loss.

While admitting the first goal was a good finish, the 33-year-old was disappointed with the unfortunate nature of the second goal.

Webb was pleased with the O’s play in general, but was frustrated at not being able to turn the possession into chances and ultimately goals.

The O’s boss must now pick up the players ahead of Tuesday’s visit to Accrington Stanley.
