PREVIEW: Kelly - 'We need to give the fans something to cheer about'

access_time 4 years ago

Orient midfielder and captain Liam Kelly insists the O’s cannot get carried away with the positive performance and result at Luton Town.

The 27-year-old lead by example in the 2-2 draw at Kenilworth Road yesterday, scoring from the penalty spot and then assisting Tristan Abrahams for his first senior goal for the O’s.

And while pleased with the showing against the promotion hopefuls, Kelly knows they can ill-afford to rest on their laurels ahead of the home game with Hartlepool United on Easter Monday.

The midfielder praised the support of the fans who have stuck by the club despite the tough circumstances in recent weeks, and is eager to repay them by finishing the season as strongly as possible.
