Lee, 30, joins after leaving Sky Bet League Two outfit Stevenage, and has signed a two-year deal in E10.
A graduate of the Tottenham Hotspur youth system, Lee signed his first professional contract with the North Londoners in 2005, though was unable to make the breakthrough at White Hart Lane before moving to Peterborough United in 2007.
The move to London Road would provide Lee with both first real taste of consistent first team football and success, as the midfielder scooped the Player of the Year award in successive seasons to help Posh reach the Championship with back-to-back promotions in both 2007-08 and 2008-09.
Lee went on to make a total of 177 appearances for Peterborough, before leaving in 2011 to join Gillingham following a successful loan.
Whilst with the Gills, the midfielder would go on to experience the third promotion of his career as the Kent side finished the 2012-13 season as champions of League Two.
Comfortable playing in midfield and at left back, Lee then made the switch to Stevenage in 2014, and chalked up 130 appearances during his three years at the Lamex Stadium.
