Summer signings Jamie Sendles-White, Christian Scales and Craig Clay featured in the game, along with a number of the younger professional players at the Club.
With the game structured in three 30 minute periods, goalkeeper Sam Sargeant was called into action twice during the opening stages when he first parried a powerful shot from the edge of the box before claiming the loose ball, and then pulled off a brilliant stop to deny a Daggers forward from close range.
Sam Alderson registered the first O’s effort of the afternoon with a rasping strike from 25-yards, though the midfielder’s effort was tipped over the bar for a corner.
Moments later forward Ruel Sotiriou showed great skill to wriggle his way into the area and cut the ball back for Alderson who looked certain to break the deadlock, only to see his shot bravely deflected behind for a corner.
Following a goalless opening period, Myles Judd fired wide just after the 40th minute before Dagenham opened the scoring with a composed finish in the area having been denied by the post a minute earlier.
The Daggers then added another just before the end of the second period before Orient made several changes for the final 30 minutes.
Dan Happe was one of five to come off the bench, and the defender looked to make an immediate impact with a shot from distance which flew wide of the far post.
Fellow substitute Amin Benyoucef was then denied by the Daggers ‘keeper following a neat one-two with Freddy Moncur, before Sargeant produced two good saves in the closing minutes.
