PREVIEW: Leyton Orient v Aldershot Town

Justin Edinburgh’s side made the trip to FC Halifax last weekend but the game was called off with only hours until kick-off. The fixture has now been rearranged and Orient will return to league action when the Shots visit E10 tomorrow.

Second placed Aldershot Town make the trip to East London in good form, having not lost in their previous six league outings. Gary Waddock’s side played out a goalless draw last weekend against Ebbsfleet United who sit in 11th.

The Shots missed the chance to close the gap on league leaders Macclesfield to within a point after the Cheshire based club were defeated 6-0 away to AFC Fylde.

The reverse fixture at the Reacreation Ground in September finished a 2-2 draw, Cheye Alexander opening the scoring on the 9th minute before Matt McClure doubled the Shots’ advantage. However Craig Clay pulled a goal back for the O’s just before half-time and Romuald Boco equalised on the 82nd minute to earn a deserved point.

Justin Edinburgh will continue to be without defender Jamie Sendles-White while Charlie Grainger is a doubt for this weekend’s clash as the keeper recovers from a back injury.

Defender George Elokobi made his O’s return in the FA Trophy victory against Bognor Regis Town and continued his comeback in the midweek friendly against Haringey Borough, while James Dayton is likely to return from an ankle injury that kept him out of the Second Round tie.
