PREVIEW: Dover Athletic v Leyton Orient

access_time 4 years ago

Justin Edinburgh’s men enter this weekend’s game on the back of a 3-3 draw in the FA Trophy Quarter Final with Gateshead on the weekend.

Dover welcome the O’s on the back of a 3-1 defeat in Lancashire when they took on AFC Fylde on Saturday.

The hosts sit ninth in the National League and have only won once since we last met them in the cup in early February.

That last meeting came in the FA Trophy when an injury time David Mooney chip secured the O’s a spot in the Quarter Finals.

Orient are still waiting to assess fitness of George Elokobi and Jobi McAnuff for this weekend’s fixture due to their respective hamstring and neck injuries.

Defender Marvin Ekpiteta has been recalled from his loan spell at East Thurrock and could be involved in the O’s squad for the first time this weekend.

The O’s will have midfielder Ebou Adams available for selection, after he was taken off in Saturday’s draw to Gateshead as a precaution.
