A Macauley Bonne brace cancelled out Barrow’s opener before a late leveller from Raul Correia ensured a point for each side.

Justin Edinburgh made two changes to the side that started Tuesday night’s fixture, Marvin Ekpiteta came in for George Elokobi who suffered an injury two minutes in to the draw with Ebbsfleet, while Charlie Lee replaced Alex Lawless in central midfield

Barrow got the game underway and hit the woodwork within two minutes through Josh Kay, whose first-time effort took the O’s by surprise.

The visitors didn’t stop at the woodwork though, as Jack Hindle found the net a minute later after being played in to the box.

A smart interchange between Craig Clay and captain Jobi McAnuff gave the skipper a yard of space before he unleashed a low drive on goal which just missed the target.

Shortly after thirty minutes of play, Barrow man John Rooney created space for himself inside the box and attempted to chip Dean Brill, but the O’s stopper calmly picked the ball out of the air.

Seconds later, McAnuff’s free kick wonderfully found the head of Charlie Lee inside the box, but the attempted header is easily caught by Andy Firth in the Barrow net.

After Barrow had slowed the game down at every opportunity, a frustrated Orient side went in to the break a goal down.

Both teams returned unchanged for the second 45, Orient got the game back underway and were somehow denied by Firth when McAnuff’s whipped cross was ferociously struck at goal but blocked by the Barrow ‘keeper.

After Firth received treatment and returned to play, Bonne this time sticks the ball passed the ‘keeper after collecting Clay’s pass and striking the ball on the spin to draw the game level.

The visitors had a golden opportunity to regain the lead when a cross was swung in to the back post but was somehow headed wide of the target.

After the introduction of Josh Koroma who immediately won the O’s a corner, Josh Coulson went close to giving his side the lead from the set-piece but sent his header just over the bar.

The O’s took the lead after 80 minutes when Koroma found Bonne at the back post who tapped in to an open net.

But the vistors bundled a leveller over the line when sub Raul Correia managed to get the ball over the line after a long throw in to the box caused a scramble.

Both sides continued to battle till the end but neither could find the upper hand as the game ended level.
