The O’s are return to E10 on Saturday as they welcome Boreham Wood to The Breyer Group Stadium for the latest National League fixture.
Justin Edinburgh’s side enter the fixture unbeaten and with their first win of the season secured following the 2-1 victory over Maidstone United on Tuesday.
Luke Garrard’s Boreham Wood have had a mixed start to the season with one win, two draws and a defeat in their opening four matches.
They were frustrated against early high-flyers Gateshead on Tuesday as David Stephens’ opener was cancelled out in the 88th minute by Steven Rigg’s header.
The O’s failed to beat the Wood in both encounters last season, the away fixture in September proving crucial to the season as injuries to George Elokobi and Josh Coulson sparked a poor run of form, while the deadlock couldn’t be broken at home.
The O’s will continue to be without long-term injury George Elokobi, while Dale Gorman and Matt Harrold have featured in behind-closed-doors games following their return to full training.
The referee for today’s game will be Christopher Pollard. The official took charge of 10 National League games last season, including the O’s 3-0 defeat to FC Halifax Town and the 1-1 draw with Ebbsfleet United.
