PREVIEW: Dover Athletic (H)

access_time 3 years ago

Justin Edinburgh’s men were last in action two days ago in Gateshead when Marvin Ekpiteta’s 88th minute equaliser secured a point on the road.

Chris Kinnear’s Dover have picked up four points in six games so far this season, their one victory came in a thrilling seven goal encounter with Havant & Waterlooville as the Whites notched four.

Last time out skipper Mitch Brundle’s 65th minute goal wasn’t enough to spark a come back as Eastleigh goals from Ben Williamson and former O Paul McCallum sunk the Kent side.

Edinburgh will have a similar squad available to the one he took to Gateshead and he may look to rotate his squad with the likes of Dale Gorman and Matt Harrold nearing full-fitness.

The O’s will be without forward James Alabi who is banned for three games following his dismissal in Tyneside on Saturday.

The referee for today’s game will be Alan Dale. This will be the officials fifth game of the 2018/19 season, to date he has brandished 15 yellow cards and two penalties in the National League.

Dale took charge of Orient on two occasions last season, the first came in our 2-2 draw against Chester when he dismissed Jamie Sendles-White. The second came against Torquay United when Elliott Romain sunk the O’s to defeat.

It will be a great pleasure to welcome our match sponsors Q2W into the Breyer Group Stadium today as they sponsor our home fixture vs Dover Athletic. Q2W have recently become our South Stand Sponsor and their support is gratefully appreciated. We very much look forward to growing the relationship with Q2W, as they host training courses here at the stadium throughout the year whilst supporting the might O’s on the pitch.

Q2W are delighted to be associated with Leyton Orient for this and following football seasons.

The construction industry in London offers incredible employment opportunities. In association with The Orient, we will open those opportunities by offering health and safety training at The Beyer Group stadium, and providing NVQ assessment; CSCS, CPCS and NPORS training and testing.

Q2W will be hosting a table in the 1881 suite, enjoying a 3-course meal, before heading down to the pitch for a photo with the captains and officials on the pitch.
