In order to convince the final 20 people to secure their seats, we have listed 20 reasons to buy a Season Ticket at The Breyer Group Stadium…

1 – History

By buying a Leyton Orient season ticket, you are joining a journey that dates back to 1881. Orient fans have been privileged to have watched the brilliant at the O’s, the dazzling feet of future-Real Madrid winger Laurie Cunningham to the early steps of England captain Harry Kane.

2 – Passion

The O’s recently took an official figure of 1,334 to Braintree Town, which was 51% of the crowd at Cressing Road, an effort reflective of the support that has seen the O’s with the highest average crowd when taking both home and away matches into account.

3 – International Talent

You don’t need to watch the top flight to see International talent, with the O’s leading marksman Macauley Bonne capped on an international level with Zimbabwe. With the African Cup of Nations taking place in June, and the Warriors leading their group, the forward will be hoping for more involvement with his country this campaign.

Midfielder Dale Gorman recently represented Northern Ireland Under-21’s as they beat a strong Spain squad, while promising young O’s Marvin Ekpiteta and Josh Koroma have received call-ups to the England C squad next month. Lionel Messi once even swapped shirts with Jobi McAnuff after the Copa America match between Argentina and Jamaica.

4 – Community Club

The O’s are a proud community Club and are active within the local areas, recently winning the award for Best Player Involvement at the National League Trust awards while Alex Lawless received special acclaim for his work on mental-health project Coping Through Football.

5 – Down to Earth!

The O’s were taken over by life-long fan Nigel Travis and Texan Businessman Kent Teague on June 22 2017 and supporters were quickly taken in by the passion shown by the new owners. Kent is often seen with the supporters at away games and has on occasion found himself quite excited when we score! (GIF credit @JC_1881Orient)

6 – Goals, Goals, Goals

The O’s have started the 2018/19 campaign excellently and, at the time of writing, lead the National League goalscoring charts with 29 goals from 13 matches. That is a goal every 40 minutes and the most goals scored by any team in English professional football at the moment so you’re bound to get value for money!

7 – Experience and Youth

Justin Edinburgh has developed a squad that fuses both experience and youth. Captain Jobi McAnuff, who captained Reading in the Football League, is racking up the kilometres run at the age of 36 while talented youngsters include the likes of Josh Koroma and Marvin Ekpiteta, both making their mark at the Club this season.

8 – Online Community

With over 50 posts a day on the #LOFC hastag, the Club has one of the most active online community at the level. With numerous podcasts, vlogs, blogs and even a dedicated Radio show to keep you up to date, there is always plenty of people to talk everything Orient.

9 – History Makers

The O’s recently broke the Club record for longest unbeaten start to the season, having failed to be beaten in any of the opening 13 matches of the season – beating the record set in 2013/14. The 3-0 victory away to league leaders Harrogate Town put the O’s at the top of the table heading into Saturday’s game against Sutton United.

10 – Tres Bonne!

Macauley Bonne made a fast start to life in E10 last season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions, and has started the 2018/19 campaign in similar form, scoring nine goals in the opening 13 matches – making him the top scorer in the top five leagues of English football.

11 – O’nuts!

How many other Clubs have had their very own donuts created by Dunkin’ Donuts? Need we say more!

12 – London Attractions

Season Ticket holders at the O’s can receive benefits away from the football too, earning discounts at popular London attractions Thames Rockets, Jump London and Capital Karts – adding more value to your Season Ticket.

13 – We have a play!

The Breyer Group Stadium isn’t the only brilliant stage the O’s will be featured on this season, ‘The Greater Game’ play is to show at the Waterloo theatre in October/November. The play, which stars Harry Potter actor James Phelps and Eastenders’ star Michael Greco, tells the story of Orient’s role in World War One, in particular the three players who gave the ultimate sacrifice at the Battle of Somme. Every year Orient fans make the trip to Northern France to pay their respects.

14 – Supporters all over the World.

The O’s are visited by supporters from across the globe, meaning there will be friends wherever you go! From Dubai to USA, from Brazil to Australia, the Club receive word from Orient fans far and wide!

15 – Theo’s got Moves

One of the more popular members of the O’s team, especially with younger fans, is the Club Mascot Theo. The red Wyvern is an active presence on the touchline at a match, greeting supporters and taking photos before even doing a somersault on occasion! Supporters can even bring home their own Theo from the Club Shop.

16 – Only One Orient

There are plenty of Uniteds, there are plenty of Towns but there is only one Orient.

17 – Matchday Programmes are thing of the present!

While the future of the Matchday Programme is being debated in some quarters, the E10 Matchday Magazine was extended to 60 pages for the 2018/19 season, making it one of the longest programmes in the division and a must-read on a matchday for just £3.

18 – Value for Money

Under 11’s can buy a Season Ticket for just £6, while Under 18’s can purchase for just £36.22. New pricing categories, including for Young Adults (18-24) and Emergency Services, Armed Forces and NHS Staff, mean that tickets are more affordable for more people. So don’t just buy a Season Ticket for yourself, buy one for the entire family!

19 – Leading the pack

It is a great time to purchase your Season Ticket, and join the Orient family, with the O’s sat in first place in the National League. While there is a lot of football still to be played this season, this is an exciting team to watch.

20 – West Stand gets a clean!

Orient fan Joe Pavett has promised to clean every seat in the West Stand if the O’s reach 4,000 Season Ticket sales. If you sit in the West Stand, it seems like a no-brainer to recommend a friend!
