FA YOUTH CUP PREVIEW: Leyton Orient v Romford

access_time 3 years ago

Victories over Tower Hamlets, Biggleswade Town and AFC Hornchurch last season earned the young O’s a tie at then Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion’s Hawthorns stadium, but defeat there would end the sides run.

This season the U18’s enter the competition with a home tie and Lewis Spencer and Pete Gill’s boys will hope to emulate the early performances of last season following a tough start to this campaign.

The visitors Romford come into this evening’s clash having beaten Tower Hamlets 1-0 in the First Qualifying Round, while they received a bye in the Preliminary Round when opponents Hoddeston Town withdrew from the Competition.
