YMCA Walthamstow welcomed Leyton Orient Trust coach and semi-professional footballer, Jordan Sanderson, on Friday 26 October for a motivational talk, as part of their Black History Month Inspirational Talks series.
Jordan attended a multi-sports session held in the sports hall at the YMCA centre in Forest Road, Walthamstow, with over 20 young people aged between 14 and 21.
“Jordan gave a fascinating insight into his professional football career and his journey towards becoming a coach at Leyton Orient Trust” says Project Youth Worker, Poonam Patel. “He also gave motivational advice to the young people about sports, training and staying dedicated to your personal values and ethics.”
Jordan also plays as a semi-professional footballer for Haringey Borough. He also coaches students on the Leyton Orient Trust College Study Programme and on other Trust programmes including Premier League Kicks and Coping Through Football.
