PREVIEW: AFC Telford United (A)

Macauley Bonne’s second-half strike saw the O’s take a single goal advantage into this weekend’s second-leg tie, as Justin Edinburgh’s men kept their good run of form going.

It’s been a rare mid-week off for Edinburgh’s men who were without a Tuesday game for one of the last times as the league season approaches the business end.

Both Josh Koroma and James Dayton will be in contention for a place in tomorrow’s squad having made returns from their respective hamstring and knee injuries in recent weeks.

Forward Jay Simpson has stepped up his recovery but is likely to be rested for when we return to league action next week as our AFC Telford United fixture will be too soon for his return.

Sam Ling was withdrawn early in the last fixture so will have to be assessed for fitness ahead of tomorrow’s encounter.

Defender Joe Widdowson will travel with the squad after missing out on last weekend’s tie as a precaution.

The O’s Show

Watch episode 33 of The O’s show featuring interviews with Justin Edinburgh and Matt Harrold here.

Tomorrow’s official will be Peter Wright, assisted by Wade Smith and Matt Corlett. Wright, who now takes charge of EFL games refereed the O’s on two occasions last season.

The first was against Aldershot at home and the second was at our televised trip to Macclesfield late in the season. In all competitions this term, Wright has been in charge of 29 games and handed out 87 yellow cards, 6 red cards and 5 penalties.
