PREVIEW: Barnet (A)

Tuesday night saw Marvin Ekpiteta and Macauley Bonne notch against promotion hopefuls AFC Fylde to stretch our lead at the top of the National League table to two points.

Barnet were also in mid-week action, they welcomed Aldershot Town to the Hive and recorded their fourth straight clean-sheet with a 2-0 win over the Shots.

Ephron Mason-Clark and Shaq Coulthirst both struck in the second-half to see the Bees go five unbeaten and move up to 16th in the table on 49 points.

Josh Coulson, James Dayton and Macauley Bonne scored a goal each back in September at the Breyer Group Stadium when we last met. Wesley Fonguck’s strike from distance only proved a consolation for the Bees.

Jamie Turley is the only fresh injury doubt for Head Coach Justin Edinburgh, the defender was withdrawn during Tuesday’s victory with a hamstring injury.

Besides longer-term absentees Myles Judd, Sam Ling and Jordan Maguire-Drew, Edinburgh will have a full squad at his disposal for tomorrow’s trip. Ling is back in training, however, and will be hoping to return to the first-team sooner rather than later.

Tomorrow’s referee is Sam Purkiss, he will be assisted by Matthew Morrison and Ashley List with Chris Felton as the fourth official. This will be the first time in charge of either Orient or Barnet for Purkiss. However he has officiated 13 National League games this season and has handed out 38 yellow cards, one red card and awarded four penalties.
