POST TITLE: Academy Talent ID Officer – Part Time

We are looking for individuals to recruit young talented players within the local scouting network area. We are looking for relationships are to be formed with all Football Clubs, Schools and Private soccer schools with a large emphasis placed on London Boroughs of Waltham Forest, Hackney and Newham wherever possible. The emphasis will be on the area within our Boroughs which have close geographical proximity to Brisbane Road. The age groups to be concentrated form the age range of Under-seven to Under-18.

Do you have the drive to form links with private soccer schools and school teachers at Key Stage One so that Leyton Orient becomes the natural first choice for sending talented players?

Do you have the dedication to form associations with the local league programme and team managers to further working relationships and enhance the possibility of recommendations to the Club?

Are you comfortable operating efficient IT systems for tracking the recruitment of Academy players?

Can you demonstrate understanding of what a “Leyton Orient player” looks like in potential before he is sent in on trial?

Do you have the time to attend Development days, talent days and trial matches to enable prospective players to be observed, at the request of the Head of Recruitment?

Can you communicate and liaise with all LOFC Academy Recruitment staff to be aware of the requirements of local the Scouting programme in relation to our player pathway?

Are you committed to adhering to the Scouts protocol in the recruitment of all players to ensure the good name of the Club is promoted and not seen as a threat to the local league clubs or private soccer schools?

To continually seek to improve the standard of player within the Academy in all age groups?

Required Qualifications:

FA Talent ID Course Qualification. Emergency Aid, safeguarding and DBS.

All Staff must be aware of all Safeguarding and Equity and Diversity issues, along with all Academy and Club policies, rules and regulations.
