NEWS: Pre-season calendar

The O’s will take on Harlow Town in our first pre-season match on Saturday, July 6 for a 15:00 kick-off. It is a repeat of the pre-season friendly last season, which finished 6-0 to the O’s. Danny Chapman’s side finished 22nd in the Isthmian Premier Division last season and they’ll be preparing to try and make an immediate return. 

The O’s will take on Sky Bet Championship side Hull City in Marbella on Tuesday, July 9 during the pre-season camp in Spain.

We will visit Hornchurch FC on Tuesday, July 16 for a 19:45 kick-off. Mark Stimson’s side finished in 15th position in the Bostik Premier Division this season with 50 points from 42 matches. 

Leyton Orient will also make the trip to AFC Rushden & Diamonds on Thursday, July 18 for a 19:45 kick-off in our fourth pre-season trip of the off-season.

Furthermore, the O’s will make the trip to Princes Park on Saturday, July 20 to face National League South side Dartford. The Kent-based side, joint-managed by Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle, finished in 10th position last campaign and will prove a tough challenge for the O’s. 

The O’s first team will then make the visit to Bishop’s Stortford on Tuesday, July 23 for a 19:45 kick-off. The Blues, jointly managed by Steve Smith and former O’s forward Jamie Cureton, finished in 7th position in the Isthmian Premier Division last year having had a number of Club loanees, including Arthur Janata, Shadrach Ogie, Hector Kyprianou, and Ruel Sotiriou. 

The first chance to see the O’s in action at the Breyer Group Stadium ahead of the 2019/20 season will be a friendly match against a Norwich City XI on Saturday, July 27.

The match which will kick-off at 3pm, and will see the O’s take on a Norwich City XI as the team prepare for their first season back in the Football League. Our opponents have enjoyed a successful season in the Championship, earning promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 2015. 

Furthermore, an Orient XI will make trips to Canvey Island and Potters Bar on Monday, July 29 and Tuesday, August 6 respectively. The latter currently employs former-O’s captain John Mackie as Assistant Manager.
