Last season, the Club made the decision to leave the EFL Digital agreement that had provided the Club’s website for over a decade.
The O’s have been working with Purpose Media to build a highly-interactive, engaging new platform. The new site has used supporter-feedback at the heart of it’s design to ensure it meets the needs of all users and is fully mobile-responsive and with a fresh, clean design.
The new site will host an improved video platform called Orient TV, home of the O’s video on demand and live content. With the Club entering the EFL, supporters outside the UK and Ireland will be able to watch all eligible O’s games via the Club’s new streaming capabilities. All video on demand content will be made available for free to supporters who have registered with the site, meaning more content is going to be available to fans than ever before – with extended highlights, full match replays amongst the content to be hosted on OrientTV.
A brand new match-centre will create a hub for all things on a match-day with more statistics than ever before readily available along with plenty of content before, during and after a game to make supporters feel even closer to the action!
Once the season starts, player profiles will have detailed information on a player including performance statistics, while the improved news categorisation makes it easier to find specific content relating to what you want to know.
Like any introduction of a new website, we expect teething problems. If you experience any issues, or just want to provide your feedback, please contact [email protected]
