PREVIEW: Bishop's Stortford (A)

access_time 2 years ago

The O’s will travel to Hertfordshire this evening to take on Bishop’s Stortford (7:45pm KO) in our penultimate first-team friendly of the summer.

Ross Embleton’s men have enjoyed a decent pre-season campaign with four wins and a draw from the five games played, with four clean sheets kept. Goals by Marvin Ekpiteta and Sam Ling wrapped up a win over Dartford on Saturday.

Bishop’s Stortford, jointly managed by Steve Smith and former O’s striker Jamie Cureton, finished in 7th place last campaign in the Isthmian Premier Division.

The O’s gave a number of players the opportunity to play 90 minutes on Saturday and will hope to give some minutes to the likes of Dale Gorman, Jordan Maguire-Drew, Lee Angol and Conor Wilkinson who missed out at the weekend.

This game will be a welcome return for young O’s – Shadrach Ogie, Hector Kyrpianou, Ruel Sotiriou and Arthur Janata – who spent a period on loan at Woodside Park last season.

Admission will be £10 for adults, £5 for children and £1 for under-12’s. Our hosts will also be running a bucket collection for the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation!
