The O’s are delighted to confirm highly-rated defender Dan Happe has agreed a one-year contract extension, tying him down until 2021.
The 20-year-old central defender has made 67 appearances for the Club since graduating from the academy, winning the Club’s Young Player of the Season award on two occasions.
Happe, who is renowned for his ability on the ball, has become one of the first names on the team-sheet in 2019, winning the Club’s Player of the Month award for January, February and March.
Happe told leytonorient.com, “I am delighted to sign my new contract, I thought it was the right thing to do at my age and hopefully I can kick-on here.”
“This is a Club that means an awful lot to me, they gave me an opportunity at such a young age so I glad to be able to repay the faith by staying here. I have known Ross [Embleton] for a while now and I feel I have a good connection with him so I am looking forward to continuing to improve under him”
