PREVIEW: Macclesfield Town (A)

access_time 2 years ago

Our first away trip of the season is at Macclesfield Town’s Moss Rose, for a 3pm kick-off in SkyBet League Two.

Tomorrow’s fixture promises to be an entertaining one, as the past two National League champions go head to head.

Last term, Sol Campbell steered The Silkmen to safety in League Two, having joined when the Club were bottom of the table and five points adrift of safety. Tomorrow’s hosts ensured their status after a final day draw with Cambridge United.

Ross Embleton will again, be without some long-term absentees with James Dayton still recovering from his ankle fracture. Jobi McAnuff underwent successful surgery on his groin last week and will now begin his recovery while continuing his coaching duties.

New signing Louis Dennis will be hoping to make his first start for the O’s after his cameo debut at The Breyer Group Stadium last weekend. While Joe Widdowson will travel with the squad after missing out on the opener against Cheltenham Town.
